Next, we’ll schedule a short discovery call with Matt or his team to discuss priorities, budget range, and your vision for the space. Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll book an on-site consultation and collect a $350 design retainer, applied toward your Mood Board or Design.

Matt visits your property with a designer’s eye and a builder’s understanding. He’ll walk the space, spray paint concepts in real time, and discuss how you plan to use each area—from where the kids play to how guests will move through the yard. Drainage, lighting, plantings, and HOA restrictions are all considered so there are no surprises later.

Before a single drawing is created, we produce a custom mood and style board to capture your project’s direction. The board includes inspiration for lighting, furnishings, materials, and key elements such as pools, fire features, and planting palettes. This step sets the tone and ensures your design reflects your taste and lifestyle. Mood board fees start at $500 and vary by project size. Your $350 retainer is applied to this step or the next. If you decide to stop here, the board is yours to keep.

Once the vision is set, Matt and his team develop your 2D layout plan. You’ll receive weekly updates, opportunities for feedback, and revisions that bring your ideas to life. Your final master plan includes color palettes, lighting concepts, planting selections, and optional 3D renderings so you can experience your space before it’s built.

We’ll present the complete master plan along with a line-item construction budget. Every detail is broken down—from hardscaping and drainage to materials and plantings—so you can make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.
